The civil jurisdiction of county courts has changed effective January 1, 2019, by the amendment of the Colorado Revised Statues, 13-6-104 (1) and (2).
Prior to January 1, 2019, a person could file a civil action in county court if the value of the claim was $15,000 or less.
On or after January 1, 2019, the claim value for county court civil actions was increased to $25,000 or less.
Filing fees in county court civil actions have also changed and are based upon the amount of the money judgment sought. Click to see the 2019 Colorado County Court Updated Fee Schedule
